At the Dominican Studium in St. Louis, MO student brothers are encouraged to preach regularly throughout the year in order to better hone their skills both for class and for later ministry.
As the Order of Preachers, we take our charism both to speak the Holy Preaching and to be the Holy Preaching seriously. It engages not just our intellect but our entire being, our prayer and our way of being in the world. "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?" -Romans 10:14 |
